We joined our church group in Collegedale at Veteran's Park for the Independence Day festivities. We started with a picnic and enjoyed spending time with friends that we don't see often. The boys enjoyed watermelon and even a bit of ice cream from daddy. The highlight of Andrew's evening may have been petting a puppy dog. Since the boys are more mobile, we had to keep our eyes open all the time. We would find Ethan making a bee line for someones plate or to check out a babies car seat.I'm so thankful that our children love to read. Brandon (3) and Nathaniel (4 1/2)
joined Andrew and I while we read. We left at 8:30 so missed most of the concert and fireworks. I think we'll wait until next year to let them stay up late and see what fireworks are.
